HALL CLEANING

This months cleaners are –

   2nd March Carolyn              23rd March -  Alistair, Pat and John

 The first person on the list is the contact person for organising the cleaning date.  If you are not available for the date allocated organise a stand in and let the first person know.   

WHISTS

More names are needed for making sandwiches and baking, list in pipers room or contact John

 

CZECH REPUBLIC 7th to 11th AUGUST

The organisers of the festival in the Czech Republic need to know numbers, please let John know as soon as possible when you have booked your flights – it should be possible to book the flights through Arcade Travel as well as on the internet. Once it is known who is all going arrangements can be made for getting to and from the airport.

ANNUAL DANCE 15th MARCH

The Annual Dance will be held in the Pipe Band Hall on Saturday 15th March 2008, music by Addie & Grant. Bring your own drinks. Tickets £10. This is always a great night, please book your tickets with John. If names are not forthcoming it will be cancelled.

 

RBLS BEATING RETREAT

We need to get the accommodation booked for Edinburgh soon, please let John know if you are able to go.

2008 ASSOCIATE FEES

This is the final reminder, 2008 Associate fees are now due, £5.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

The Band’s AGM will be held on Wednesday 19th March 2008 at 7.30pm in the Pipe Band Hall. The agenda is attached.

 

SOS CONCERT AND DANCE

The concert and dance held with the Lifeboat in the Assembly Rooms at the beginning of February was a tremendous success and thanks are due to all who played or helped in any way. Over £1,500 was raised for each organisation.

PIPE CORPORAL

 At the last Pipe Band Committee meeting Colin MacKay was appointed Pipe Corporal.

PIPING AND CHANTER COMPETITIONS

 A very successful piping and chanter competition was held in the Pipe band Hall on 23rd February and thanks are due to Leslie Campbell for organising his first competition so well.
