This years Gala Queen is Marianne Hughes.

The crowning ceremony is traditionally held at the riverside park, but because of the recent wet weather, it was decided that the ground was too wet to support the stage.

The ceremony was moved to the market square.

The crowning ceremony was marred by a fairly short, but heavy rain shower.
