Dunbeath Castle Gardens

Dunbeath Castle lies within the Dunbeath Estate. The castle is spectacularly perched on a high cliff over looking the waters of the Moray Firth.

The walled gardens contain a mixture of vegetable, fruit, shrub and flower growing but the designers have managed to create a large number of garden "rooms",

each with its own feel and stunning visual effect.

The garden is opened in mid July to the public and the Wick Pipe Band are invited to play on the opening day on the extensive lawn in front of the Castle.

The crowd emerge from the gardens via  the lower gate to stand and watch & listen to the band as the reel of  their various tune sets.
